South Bay Teen Idol finalists announced -- four are from Los Gatos schools
Four Los Gatos teens have been chosen as finalists in the South Bay Teen Idol singing competition for 2015.
The South Bay Teen Idol finalists for 2015 have been announced. These are the top 10 finalists who were selected at the semi-finals this past Saturday night. The winner of the finals on April 25th will receive a $2,500 prize and $500 for their school’s music department.
The 4 finalists from Los Gatos schools are:
- Ava Toren of Los Gatos High School
- Liat Rubin of Los Gatos High School
- Devon Schreiner of Fisher Middle School
- Emma Gerson of Fisher Middle School
The other 6 finalists are:
- Aubrie Andrade of Santa Teresa High School
- Julia Rogers of Mt. View High School
- Kiana Naderi of Valley Christian High School
- Lyla Rose Neely of Oakland School for the Arts
- Samantha Bell of Piedmont High School
- Sanjana Sanghani of St. Francis High School
South Bay Teen Idol is an annual, American-Idol-style singing competition open to teen vocalists in 8th-12th grades. The competition is held at the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center Auditorium, 14855 Oka Road, Los Gatos. More information is available at www.siliconvalleyjcc.org/idol
