Support Local Los Gatos H.S. Robotics Team!

We are the Los Gatos High School Robotics Team, called Iron Claw. We will be competing in the 2016 FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC) for the first time since 2008. This year, our school club has grown large enough to field an FRC robot this year.

FRC is a competition in which teams teams design, assemble, wire, and program a person-sized robot in six weeks to perform in a sports-like competition. The competition rules are given in the beginning of January and the six week time frame starts then.

In addition to competing, our robotics team does many things within our school and community:

• Raises interest in STEM throughout our school and community through demonstrations.
• Trains future engineers in programming, CAD, design, electrical engineering, and machining.
• Teaches life skills such as cooperation, inclusiveness, teamwork and professionalism.
• Organizes talks with local robotics companies to inspire students to pursue STEM careers.

To support the parts for our robot and the competition entry fees for our team, we need your help! We would love your support in any way, be it through our IndieGoGo, mentors, or any type of materials such as excess sheet metal, computers, and machine tools.
