Taco Bell Dip Recalled For Botulism Risk
Some 7,000 cases of Taco Bell Salsa Con Queso Mild Cheese Dip have been recalled by Kraft Heinz.
Kraft Heinz announced this week it is voluntarily recalling about 7,000 cases of Taco Bell Salsa Con Queso Mild Cheese Dip because of the risk of botulism, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning, according to a recall notice posted on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's website.
The cheese dip is showing signs of product separation that could lead to botulism, which can trigger weakness, dizziness, double vision and trouble with speaking or swallowing. Difficulty in breathing, weakness of other muscles, abdominal distension and constipation may also be common symptoms of the ailment.
There have been no consumer complaints or reported illnesses, Kraft Heinz said in a release.
