In Los Gatos: Crackin' Crab for Charity- 15th Annual Crabfest and Auction. All you can EAT Fresh cold Crab! Silent and live auction.

Join others in your community for this worthy cause. As it has been done for the last 15 years, the Los Gatos Rotary will again present their premier fund raising event “Crackin’ Crabs for Charity”. This event is an “all you can eat” crab fest combined with exciting live and silent auctions.
The crab fest will be held in St Mary’s Church hall in Los Gatos on Saturday Jan 23 at 6:00pm. Rotary food coordinator, Avis LaGrone, explains “Hundreds of pounds of fresh meaty Dungeness crab will be served.” Many of the menus items are donated by Rotary sponsors, such as the clam chowder from Billy’s Boston Chowder House and dessert from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
The live auction consists of wonderful trip near and far ranging from condo at SeaScape, houses in Tahoe, to Mexican cruises, a condo in Switzerland, and several stays in the tropical Big Island and Maui. The extensive silent auction features dinners donated by upscale area restaurants and baskets of wine from local wineries. Of particular note, the wine available at the dinner will be from Testarossa Winery and coffee from Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company. “Buy your tickets online now”, advises Jeff Milde, co-chairman “This event sells out every time and last year we had to turn some folks away which we hate to do”. It turns out that this occasion is an especially worthy cause because the profits go directly to dozens of local charities such as St Lukes’s Pantry which feeds the area homeless. Other beneficiaries are the Boy Scouts and a student led service club at Los Gatos and Leigh High School plus …the tickets are partially tax deductible.
