Trader Joe’s Confirms New South Bay Store Opening: Report

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — For Trader Joe’s shoppers who live in Milpitas and North San Jose, the eagerly anticipated wait for the popular grocery chain to announce the opening of a nearby store is over.

That’s according to a report in the San Jose Mercury News that cites confirmation from the company.

It’s not known when the store will open and the company declined to confirm the location of the store, but a Reddit user posted a photo of an alcohol sales application in the window of a building that according to the Mercury is a still-under-construction Turing apartment building near Great Mall Parkway and McCandless Drive.

“We are planning to bring a Trader Joe’s store to the area and we’re looking forward to being a part of the neighborhood,” Kenya Friend-Daniel, a company spokeswoman told the Mercury in an email.
