The fire spread to some trees, but did not start a grass fire.
A one-alarm fire is under control at a duplex apartment building in Campbell this afternoon, a Santa Clara County Fire Department spokesman said.
Firefighters got the first call at 2:07 p.m. reporting the fire in the first block of Michael Drive, near state Highway 17, department spokesman Bill Murphy said.
Murphy said the fire was under control at about 2:40 p.m. He said firefighters were fortunate to get the fire under control quickly.
