When those 6 million died in the Holocaust they took with them their many talents, intellects, discoveries, and genius.

STAT of the day (and one that should be studied for its meaning and significance):

Only 2/10 of 1% of the world’s population is Jewish. Yet, 36% of all Nobel Prize winners have been Jews. Yes, it’s true. The world wide population of Jews is approximately the same as the population of Pennsylvania. Can you imagine if 36% of all Nobel Prize winners came from Pennsylvania?

That is beyond jaw dropping. How do we explain that?

Whenever you see a red headed person take note of the fact that there
are 10X more of them (140 million) than Jews (14 million) worldwide.
And, even though their population is 10X as great, imagine the disbelief
if 36% of all Nobel Prize winners were red heads.

Approximately 1/2 of the worlds Jewish population was killed at the hands of the
Germans during WWII. So, for every Albert Einstein, Jonas Salk
(inventor of the polio vaccine), Robert Oppenheimer (inventor of the
nuclear bomb that ended WWII), Steven Spielberg, George Gershwin, etc., there is another one who,
along with his future descendants, died during the Holocaust. We will
never be able to qualify the huge loss to the world both scientifically
and culturally.
Hidden in the hearts and minds of those exterminated 6
million plus Jews would there have been a cure for cancer? Might we have harnessed
nuclear fusion, or an antidote to the destructive and catastrophic effects of climate
change? We will never know but surely we can surmise that the world would be a better place if those 6 million Jews (and their descendants) would have been able to bring their talents to bear. The answers are buried in the ashes at Auschwitz, Dachau, Bergen
Belsen, and countless other graves.

The world is suffering (still) from that colossal act of inhumanity and indifference.

Food for thought....
