2 Injured In Malibu Crash, Triggering 10-Hour Road Closure
A vehicle struck a power pole late Saturday night, forcing the closure of Las Virgenes Road for most of the day Sunday.
MALIBU, CA — A vehicle crashed into a power pole in Malibu Saturday night, leaving two people hospitalized and forcing the 10-hour closure of Las Virgenes Road in Agoura Hills.
The California Highway Patrol warned drivers to avoid Las Virgenes Road, which was expected to remain closed until 5 p.m. Sunday.
The crash happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of Malibu Knolls and Malibu Canyon roads. The driver struck the power pole, and paramedics rushed two people to UCLA Medical Center, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. Their conditions were not immediately known.

At 6:53 a.m. Sunday, the California Highway Patrol issued a traffic advisory shutting down Las Virgenes Road in Agoura Hills, from Piuma Road to Malibu Canyon Road, until 5 p.m., in connection with the collision.
