Additional Sheriff’s Deputies Staged At Lost Hills Station - No Incidents In Malibu

The Sheriff's Department will continue to monitor the situation.

The City of Malibu and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have increased the number of Sheriff’s deputies available to Malibu following yesterday’s civil unrest in Los Angeles and across the country protesting the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer.

Malibu City Manager Reva Feldman reported that additional deputies are staged at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station to respond to any incidents in Malibu or neighboring cities, if necessary, but there were no issues or incidents reported in the area Saturday or Sunday morning.

The Sheriff’s Department will continue to monitor the situation.
