WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA — Mediterranean fast-casual chain Cava will open in Westlake Village on Friday.
The restaurant is located at Westlake Plaza and Center at Westlake Boulevard and Agoura Road, just south of the 101 Freeway. It will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Founded in 2011 in the Washington, D.C. area, Cava's model is familiar to anyone who's been to Chipotle — but with a Mediterranean focus. Diners go down the line and pick from a variety of grains, greens, vegetables, meats, dips or and dressings to make their perfect bowl or pita wrap.
“Our mission is to bring heart, health, and humanity to food, and everything we do at CAVA is grounded in that spirit of generosity, to our guests, our team members, and our community,” said Corey Cheek, Cava's regional director. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be in Westlake Village and continue growing our presence in the Greater Los Angeles area.”
Ahead of Cava's official opening, the restaurant on Thursday is offering a meal to its neighbors as part of its Community Day tradition. Instead of paying for the food, diners are invited to provide a donation to Food Share of Ventura County that will be matched by the company, up to $1,000.
The new restaurant will employ 25 to 40 people, according to Cava.
