Starting as early as 10 p.m. each night and continuing as late as 6 a.m., one lane of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, also known as State Route 27, will remain open for traffic in both directions. Flaggers will alternate vehicles through the work zone.

The locations of the one-way traffic controls may shift throughout the night. Signs will be posted to alert drivers approaching the work areas.

The closures are weather-permitting and subject to change. Drivers should expect delays and consider alternate routes during construction hours.

Residents and businesses near the highway may also experience construction noise, vibrations and dust.

The work is part of an 18-mile pavement rehabilitation project stretching from Pacific Coast Highway to Devonshire Street in Chatsworth. In addition to repaving, the project includes upgrades to curb ramps, pedestrian push buttons and bus pads.

Work in the San Fernando Valley portion of the project has been completed. Construction on the entire project is expected to wrap up in summer 2027.

Drivers can check current traffic conditions using Caltrans QuickMap.
