PERCEPTUAL NATURE
How do we experience nature? How does the experience of nature and our environment inform and shape us into who we are?
These are the questions that a group of innovative artists, all members of the prestigious Los Angeles Art Association ( LAAA.org) a non profit for the Los Angeles County Artists, are exploring through their work.
Living and experiencing life in Malibu and the coast, we are driven to preserve the beauty of these coastal charm for generations to come-
The exhibition will explore all our sensory experiences from the sun and the surf, to other aspects that inform our senses and create the joy and pleasures of beauty and art in nature-
THe exhibition will be opening April 19th at MLY Gallery at the Malibu Lumber Yard - 3939 Cross Creek Road D 130, Malibu CA 90265 Tel ( 310) 317 1918
Opening Reception will include an extraordinary performance by LAAA performance artist Yana Clark which will address all our sensory experiences - IN her performance she utilizes a mirrored body suit, reflective of human projections and psyche responding to exterior and interior stimuli such as light & sound, projections & symbolic objects to recreate a powerful environment to intrigue our senses and perceptions of reality.
A percentage of profit from art sales will be donated to the Los Angeles Art Association A 501c3-
