MALIBU, CA — Avoid jumping in the water at any Malibu beaches this weekend, as recent rains may have dragged bacteria, chemicals and debris into the ocean, according to Los Angeles County Health Officer Muntu Davis.

The warning applies to all Los Angeles beaches especially at and around storm drains, creeks and rivers. Davis warned that the water in the ocean could cause illness.

The advisory is expected to lift Sunday at 12:30 p.m., but don't hold your breath; Southern California is expected to see the worst storm of the season Monday and Tuesday, bringing in around 8 inches of rain over two days.

Honestly, the water is probably too cold to swim anyway.
