A pause in my Malibu musings for some shameless self-promotion: my “An Urban Odyssey; A Critic’s Search for the Soul of Cities and Self,” was issued today by Cherry Orchard Books/Academic Studies Press.
Heralded by LA Magazine as a compelling look at the city, on Linkedin as “rollicking,” I’ve been immodestly hailed as “one of the finest journalist of his generation,” by a former CNN president and publisher of the LA Times, and an “unapologetic populist, by a famed radio host.
Recalled are my seven decades as a NY Times reporter, NY Post editor LA Times critic, EMMY honored TV and radio commentator, author, and urban planner and teacher. There are even a few chapters on Malibu.
