Body Stuffed In Barrel Found In Malibu Lagoon: Reports

Lifeguards found a body stuffed inside a 55-gallon drum that was floating in the ocean Monday morning, according to reports.

MALIBU, CA — Lifeguards at Malibu Lagoon on Monday morning discovered a body inside a 55-gallon drum that was floating in the ocean, according to reports.

A park worker first spotted the barrel floating near the Pacific Coast Highway bridge Sunday night. On Monday, lifeguards arriving for their shift saw the drum in the lagoon and brought it to shore, where they discovered the body, KTLA reported.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident and has not yet released information about the person's identity.
