A park worker first spotted the barrel floating near the Pacific Coast Highway bridge Sunday night. On Monday, lifeguards arriving for their shift saw the drum in the lagoon and brought it to shore, where they <a href="https://ktla.com/news/local-news/body-found-inside-55-gallon-drum-in-malibu/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">discovered the body</a>, KTLA reported. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident and has not yet released information about the person's identity.
