Divers Find Missing Woman's Body At Paradise Cove

Searchers looking for a missing Colorado woman found her body Thursday near the area where her abandoned car was found.

MALIBU, CA — The search for a missing Colorado woman in Malibu ended in tragedy Thursday when searchers discovered her body near the shoreline.

Searchers found the body of Jennifer Lorbe after searching for days since her car was abandoned May 23rd on Pacific Coast Highway at Paradise Cove. The body has yet to be identified.

"After an exhaustive search for missing person Jennifer Lorber, (sheriff's) divers located the remains of a female adult near the Paradise Cove shoreline," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement released early Thursday afternoon.

Earlier this week, county officials approved a $10,000 reward for information regarding the 30-year-old Colorado woman, who flew to Los Angeles on May 23 and who was last seen about 11 p.m. that night staying at a motel in the 22000 block of Pacific Coast Highway.

Her rental vehicle, a white 2018 Toyota Rav4, was found at 11:15 p.m. Saturday parked on PCH at Paradise Cove Road.

Lorber was said to suffer from depression, and her family told deputies they were concerned for her health, according to the sheriff's department, which spearheaded multiple search operations using a search-and- rescue team, dogs, an air unit and marine rescue boat operators. County lifeguards and fire department personnel also assisted.
