Boys & Girls Club Members Clean Up Zuma Beach

Not just an ordinary beach cleanup, the Kindness is Free event saw youth from across the Southland find creative uses for items they found.

MALIBU, CA — Over 80 Boys & Girls Club members from across the Southland gathered in Malibu Tuesday to help clean up the beach and enjoy a barbecue.

The Boys & Girls Club of Malibu hosted Tuesday's event, which was part of the nationwide Kindness is Free 2023 initiative. The campaign is meant to educate youth about the importance of building meaningful relationships and being kind.

Tuesday's activities included a cleanup at Zuma Beach and then an upcycling arts and crafts session using materials found from the cleanup.
