Swimming While Pregnant
During the third trimester, some pregnant women say that swelling associated with pregnancy makes them uncomfortable and reluctant to exercise. Getting in the pool could be an option.

For pregnant women, swimming may be the thing to try for a low-impact and comfortable way to exercise and relax. Always consult your doctor before beginning any prenatal exercise program because there are some high-risk conditions that may prohibit exercise during pregnancy.
While swimming and relaxing in the water, you don't have to worry about your balance—or gravity! The water will support the weight of you and your baby, and take stress off your lower back while reducing the pressure on your joints. Floating or moving through the water with easy strokes is very relaxing and some women say it helps reduce swelling associated with pregnancy.
Enjoy a workout with water aerobics and/or swimming laps. A slow or moderate backstroke is popular, while a frog kick or using a kickboard may cause back pain. Drink plenty of water, avoid dehydration and change up your workout routine.
