MALIBU, CA — A small brush fire broke out in Malibu Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

The fire was reported just before 10 a.m. on the 6100 block of Latigo Canyon, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Lost Hills Station. Forward progress was stopped on the fire, according to the city of Malibu.

The quarter-acre fire was not a threat to any structures, according to the Lost Hills Station. No injuries were reported.

The fire prompted closures of northbound lanes on Latino Canyon Road near the state Route 1, Pacific Coast Highway.
