MALIBU, CA – Firefighters stopped a brush fire that was burning in Malibu early Friday morning after it scorched three acres near HRL Laboratories off Malibu Canyon Road near Harbor Vista Drive, according to a statement from the city of Malibu.Crews were mopping up and were expected to remain on scene throughout the night, the statement said.
