Brush Fire Burns Building In Topanga Overnight
A building was fully engulfed by flames in a brush fire fanned by Santa Ana winds as power was shut off in the Malibu area.
TOPANGA, CA — A building was fully engulfed by flames in a brush fire fanned by Santa Ana winds that broke out in the Topanga area early Thursday morning.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the Swenson Drive area near Tuna Canyon Park after a fire sparked at around 2 a.m., firefighters said.
Forward progress of the 3.6-acre fire was stopped within two hours, when the fire was 50 percent contained.

Firefighters initially reported that the damaged structure was a two-story commercial building, but ABC 7 reported that the building was actually a home.
No evacuations were ordered.
