CD-32 Candidate Anna Wilding Signs Term Limits, ERA Pledges, Challenges Rep. Brad Sherman

LOS ANGELES — Anna Wilding, Democratic candidate for Congress in California’s 32nd District and leading challenger to incumbent Rep. Brad Sherman, has signed the U.S. Term Limits amendment pledge and Equal Rights Amendment pledge, highlighting her campaign’s focus on economic stability, government accountability and constitutional equality.

Wilding is the first candidate in the CA-32 race to sign the congressional term limits pledge, which supports legislation limiting members of the House to three terms and members of the Senate to two terms.

U.S. Term Limits President Philip Blumel praised the decision.

“Anna’s strong support of term limits shows that there are individuals willing to put self-interest aside to follow the will of the people,” Blumel said. “America needs a Congress that will be served by citizen legislators, not career politicians.”

According to Pew Research, 87 percent of Americans support congressional term limits, reflecting broad bipartisan support for greater accountability in government.

Wilding said her campaign reflects the concerns she hears from residents across the district, including rising housing costs, wildfire recovery challenges and increasing economic pressure on families and small businesses.

Wilding has lived and worked in the United States for more than three decades and resides in Los Angeles. She said her decision to run was driven by concerns she heard directly from residents about housing affordability, public safety, wildfire recovery and long-term economic stability.

“I’m running as a Democrat who believes in results,” Wilding said. “That means being moderate when economic stability and fiscal responsibility are needed, and progressive when fundamental rights and constitutional equality must be protected.”

Wilding, a business founder, nonprofit founder, filmmaker and White House correspondent, said her professional background outside government shaped her approach to leadership.

“I built my career from the ground up,” Wilding said. “I understand firsthand the pressures families and small business owners face. In Congress, I will fight for housing people can afford, support economic opportunity and help strengthen long-term stability for our communities.”

“This district deserves leadership that is present, accountable and focused on real solutions,” Wilding added. “My campaign is focused on economic stability, affordable housing and protecting the constitutional rights of every resident.”



Wilding also signed the Equal Rights Amendment pledge in 2025 and supports full recognition of the ERA as the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

“The Equal Rights Amendment affirms a simple principle,” Wilding said. “Equality under the law must be guaranteed for every American.”

Her campaign priorities include lowering housing costs, supporting wildfire recovery, strengthening economic opportunity, protecting constitutional rights and advancing clean energy innovation while maintaining economic competitiveness.

Wilding said she is committed to working with residents across the district and welcomes community engagement.

“This campaign is about service,” Wilding said. “It’s about listening, showing up and delivering real results for the people of California’s 32nd District.”

California’s primary election will take place in June 2026 under the state’s top-two system, in which the two candidates receiving the most votes advance to the general election regardless of party affiliation.

Wilding said she is actively meeting with residents, community leaders and local organizations across the district as the campaign continues.
