Malibu Hosts Rebuild Workshops For Residents After Woolsey Fire

The workshop on Thursday, March 28 is geared toward professionals, and the workshop on Sunday, March 31 is geared toward property owners.

MALIBU, CA – The Malibu Planning Department will hold two Rebuild Workshops and Consultations on Thursday, March 28 and Sunday, 31 with multiple departments and agencies providing assistance and resources to Malibu residents who are going through the rebuilding process after the Woolsey Fire, the City announced.

Both workshops are open to anyone to attend, although the Thursday workshop is geared toward professionals and the Sunday workshop is geared toward property owners.

  • 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM – Rebuild Presentation
  • 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM – Open Counter Hours

SUNDAY, MARCH 31 - FOR PROPERTY OWNERS

  • 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Rebuild Presentation
  • 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm – Open Counter Hours

The workshops will be located at Malibu City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road, Malibu CA 90265.

Representatives from all the City departments of Planning, Building Safety, Geology, Biology, Public Works and Environmental Health as well as other agencies, including the L.A. County Fire Department, Waterworks District 29 and Southern California Edison will be participating, the City of Malibu said.

Each workshop will consist of brief updates from each department and a Q&A session, followed by open counter hours staffed by each department or agency for one-on-one project-specific consultations, the press release said. No appointments are necessary.
