Coroner Still Studying Body Found In Malibu Last Month
There are still questions to be answered about the body, which was found decomposed about 150 feet down an embankment last month.

MALIBU, CA — The county coroner is still studying the remains found last month over the side of Kanan Dume Road, according to Malibu Surfside News. The body, which was found decomposed, was found by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Air Rescue 6 helicopter near a Kia minivan about 150 feet down an embankment in the Malibu area.
The remains were discovered June 4, and the vehicle was registered to a 45-year-old Woodland Hills man, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Leland Tang, adding that it wasn't known if the remains were those of that man. Originally, the remains appeared to be those of a male thought to be in his 50s, according to The Malibu Times. The person apparently drove the vehicle over the side, then got out of the van, according to Tang.
"No evidence at the scene leads to the collision being the cause of death," Tang said at the time the body was discovered.
