CHOICE OF DEMOCRAT NOMINEE JUST AS SHOCKING AS REPUBLICAN NOMINEE

Nothing in this political season makes sense....

In a blind taste test Hillary Rodham Clinton would get crushed by her own party in a contest with Bernie Sanders. There is no question about it.....If they were both 55 year old white males and they had similar name recognition and they were judged on their voting records and their actions and ideologies and present campaign...Hillary would be discarded like a used can of spray paint. She would be in a landfill somewhere.

In spite of what we know now...and the fact that we are still embroiled in wars and never ending and colossally deadly conflicts in the Middle East, it is mind numbing to comprehend that we are about to elect as President not only someone who voted for the invasion of Iraq, but the disastrous invasion of Libya, and who supported regime change in Syria.

SHE WAS ELECTED, NOT THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE, BUT THE DEMOCRAT NOMINEE (yes, believe it or not). SHE GOT MORE VOTES THAN A TRUE PROGRESSIVE WHO VOTED AGAINST THE IRAQ INVASION. Yes, she was overwhelmingly supported by Democrats, the same group that was so hostile towards the foreign policies of Bush/Cheney. Yes, that group...the ones who think invading Iraq was the worst decision in US foreign policy history.

She trounced a guy who refused to take corporate money. They voted for her and her endless Superpacs. He vowed to never take money from Wall Street. She took hundreds of thousands of dollars from Wall Street and gave closed door speeches to Goldman Sachs. STILL, the dems voted for her. She is considered untrustworthy and unlikable by the majority of Americans. He is considered extremely honest and trustworthy. STILL, the Dems voted for her.

National polls consistently show that he does significantly better against the Republican nominee than she does. It's not even close. Still, they voted overwhelmingly for her.

He draws consistently giant crowds, inspires millennials, and gets the support of the majority of voters under 45. She has no crowds or enthusiasm around her campaign and she gets the support of people who are over 65. STILL, the Dems overwhelmingly supported her, not him.

She is under investigation by the FBI for repeatedly violating security protocol as Secretary of State, even after being warned repeatedly. He is the most popular U.S. Senator in Congress, getting the support of 83% of his constituents. Yet, the DEMS STILL voted for her.

He was arrested as a young college student for protesting racial segregation. He marched on Washington DC with MLK for racial equality. He marched in Selma as well. STILL, black Americans supported her by an astounding 80/20 margin. Did they not get the memos?

This is all more inexplicable and bizarre to me than the Trump phenomena. When did we stop moving forward? Being a woman is cool...but it is hardly enough...it won't buy groceries, or keep us out of war, or stop the corruption, or raise the minimum wage, or inspire the country to demand free college tuition....not even close.

To me, voting to support the catastrophic decision of invading Iraq was a deal breaker, like being caught making whoopee with a labrador retriever. I vowed to never support any candidate (even for dogcatcher) who voted to go to war with Iraq....such was the incredible gravity of that decision...it was unforgivable....throw in another regime change decision 10 years later and I am speechless....would we re-elect Richard Nixon if we could, knowing what we know now? (don't answer that)

There is something very wrong with our Democracy. Power and ignorance abounds!!!!
