Dr Heimlich Uses Maneuver for First Time to Save Woman’s Life: Henry Heimlich, the famed 96-year-old surgeon, used his namesake anti-choking maneuver for the first time to save a woman at his senior living center.

Seriously, this was the first time he’s ever tried it? Good grief, you mean we’ve just been taking his word for it all these years? A frequent victim of gags, its said that Heimlich always needs to first figure out if the victim is choking or joking.

Witnesses say that Heimlich initially yelled “hey, someone needs to do a me on her,” and when no one responded, he bravely told the startled crowd “let me handle this, I invented the Heimlich maneuver” - to which some in the crowd said “yea, sure, and I’m the Pope.” The whole scene must have been kind of like what Geronimo might have yelled, had he ever jumped out of an airplane.

But to be honest, I do have to say that for someone who’s 96-years-old, the man still has some mighty impressive maneuvers. And while many were heaping praise on the good doctor, I personally couldn't help but wonder - where the hell was he when Mama Cass really needed him?

Anyway, after being rescued, the woman reportedly remarked “of all the retirement homes in all the world, Heimlich has to walk into mine?” She was obviously really choked up over the whole ordeal. Meanwhile, after consulting with several attorneys, the woman is now suing Dr Heimlich for assault.
