Dump Your Old Electronics: E-Waste Day Coming Up In Malibu

Still have a VCR or fax machine? Or an outdated cell? The collection - with COVID-19 precautions in place - will be in City Hall's lot.

MALIBU, CA — Residents of Malibu and surrounding areas can safely dispose of old electronics for free this weekend at the city's e-waste collection event — now being re-established with safety precautions in place.

Participants are asked to wear face masks and remain in their cars, with windows closed if possible, as staff will remove items from vehicles' trunks or truck beds.

The collection will be Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Hall's upper parking lot at 23825 Stuart Ranch Road.

Anyone who recently traveled internationally, is under quarantine or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not attend, officials said.

Items that will be accepted include: computers; printers; televisions; VCRs; cell phones; fax machines; stereos; and electronic games. Follow this link for more info.
