Entrepreneur Pamela J. Joyner Becomes Trustee on J. Paul Getty Trust Board

The trust oversees the J. Paul Getty Museum​ and related institutions, including the Getty Villa in Malibu

MALIBU, CA - Pamela J. Joyner, an investment industry entrepreneur and patron of the arts, has joined the board of trustees of the J. Paul Getty Trust, which oversees the J. Paul Getty Museum and related institutions, the trust announced Monday.

Joyner is founder of Avid Partners LLC, described as an alternative investment firm.

She is also a trustee of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Tate Americas Foundation, as well as a member of the director's circle of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Modern and Contemporary Art Visiting Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

She also created the Pamela J. Joyner Alfred J. Giuffrida Collection of Abstract Art, which the trust described as "one of the most significant collections of modern and contemporary art by African-American and African diasporic artists in the world."
