San Andreas - The Big Fault -- Culture in the Canyon at the Chautauqua Series
We have heard about it, talked about it and even felt the shake, rattle and roll. You can’t live in Southern California without taking heed of the San Andreas Fault because it is huge and plays a major role in the seismic activity of our state. The fault’s impact has shaped our Santa Monica Mountains and the lives we live in and around them. Dr. David Lynch will help us understand the origin, mechanics, and impact of the web of fault lines connecting us to the San Andreas Fault in California. Meet at Woodland Hall. 1.5 hrs.
