Tamale Making Class

Learn Spanish while making your own traditional Oaxacan tamales in a class to be held Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. in the kitchen at Malibu United Methodist Church.

Taught by two Spanish-speaking seasoned cooks – Carmen Gonzales and Patricia Martinez – the class will be taught in Spanish. The $15 per person fee will include all materials.

This is the second class in a series of Spanish language cooking classes by these teachers. The first was a class in the dish , the famous Peruvian potato salad. The class, a nascent micro business, is a project supported by the Malibu Community Labor Exchange. The church is donating its kitchen space.
