Giving Your Kids Money

The Malibu Patch Moms Council offers questions and answers for community discussion.

Teaching your child to respect money and that there is a limited supply of it can be difficult. This week the Malibu Patch Moms Council asks: “Should a child be given an allowance or instead be given money when he/she needs it (maybe not necessarily when he/she wants it)? Or is there another creative solution? How do you teach your child to respect the value of money?”

The answers to these questions could be different depending on the age of the child. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
