Heat Advisory Issued In Malibu
Temperatures are expected to rise to 88, according to the National Weather Service.
MALIBU, CA — Even though Monday’s Red Flag Fire Warning is no longer in effect, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory.
The advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday in Los Angeles, Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Long Beach, Orange County, and parts of Ventura County.
No fires burned in Malibu on Monday, even though deputies were on high alert after the Red Flag Warning and five brush fires around Southern California. On Tuesday, the NWS predicts that Malibu temperatures are expected to rise to 88 degrees, which is uncommonly hot for a city usually cooled by ocean breezes. Temperatures are expected to revert to the 70s for the rest of the week.
