Hiker Airlifted From Escondido Falls Trail After Injury
An injured hiker was hoisted off a trail near Escondido Falls on Sunday — see video of the rescue.
MALIBU, CA — A hiker was airlifted off of a trail near Escondido Falls Sunday after she injured herself and needed medical attention.
Rescue crews hiked to the falls, prepared the female hiker for transportation and carried her to an open location so a Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter could get to her, according to the Malibu Search and Rescue team.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

In addition to the Fire Department and the Sheriff's Department, the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority and McCormick Ambulance also assisted with the rescue.
