Honda Develops Concept Car With Emotions of Its Own

A satirical look at current events!

Honda Develops Concept Car With Emotions of Its Own: Japanese automaker Honda plans to showcase an electric, self-driving concept car with artificial intelligence at the Consumer Electronics Show that is not only able to understand it’s driver’s emotions, but is also capable of generating emotions of its own and forming a “deep bond” with it’s driver.

Perhaps, but all I can think is good grief, that’s one seriously ugly car - oops, I hope it didn't hear that. But seriously, it reminds me of a portable vacuum cleaner I had back in the 90’s - wonder where all the attachments are supposed to go in? Either that or an electric pencil sharpener on wheels with the aerodynamics of a block of cement. But what the heck, great idea - a car with emotions. Now both you and your car can get road rage together. Talk about bonding!

And what happens if this emotional vehicle develops a crush on it’s mechanic? Will it constantly drive itself over to the dealership? That could get expensive. Do we really want cars that say things like "Why don't we ever go anywhere fun anymore, Dave?” Or how about “why are you checking out that new Corvette, Dave? Are you not happy with me as your car?” And let’s not forget “sorry, but I can’t take you to the movies tonight, Dave - I have a headache.” Hell, I’m getting emotional just thinking about all this.
