How To Donate To Hurricane Harvey Relief In Malibu
The City of Malibu has offered residents ways to donate to the communities affected by Hurricane Harvey.

MALIBU, CA – Many Malibu residents have asked how they can help the residents and communities in Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, according to the City. If you would like to make a donation, the City of Houston and Harris County established the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, now accepting tax-deductible flood relief donations for victims that have been affected by the recent floods.
The new fund will be housed at the Greater Houston Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. For more information or to make an online contribution, go to their website.
The City of Malibu also suggests that residents can also make donations to recognized charities or area faith-based organizations that are currently engaged in the response and recovery, including:Donations of specific food, clothing, or other household items are discouraged as they may create a burden on responding agencies, according to the City, because all donated goods have to be collected, sorted, and cleaned before they can be distributed.
