Hydrant Gushes Water 60 Feet High After PCH Crash
PCH reopened after the accident, the aftermath of which was caught on video — check out a clip of the geyser.
MALIBU, CA — A traffic collision on Pacific Coast Highway Thursday morning sheared a fire hydrant, sending water gushing 60 feet in the air, according to the city and an eyewitness report.
The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. near the Malibu Pier. One lane was shut down as fire and sheriff's personnel worked to clear the scene and public works crews repaired the hydrant, according to the city. All lanes have been reopened.
The geyser was caught on video by Ryan Clarkson, who posted a clip of the spray on Twitter.
