Ignacio, I hope someone reads this to you because I don’t think you are able to!

You have had every Christmas off for at least the last five years while Patti has had to work every Christmas. Not only Christmas though, you seem to get more Holidays off than anyone at Sandpiper Pet Hotel and Patti seems to work more Holidays than anyone at Sandpiper!

You were supposed to work last Christmas and Patti was finally going to have it off to finally spend time with her family on Christmas day, yet you got out of it and Patti once again had to work Christmas! Not only did she cover for you on Christmas day, Patti worked 33 days in a row covering for you during the Holiday season while you were out! All of those days were at least 14 hour work days as she had to cover all your shifts as well as hers! She had no time off during those 33 days with not support from the owner of Sandpiper!

Now, even though you were on the schedule since early this month to work Christmas day you are refusing to work it again this year!

You need to be thoughtful of others and not just yourself! You need to learn respect!

Mike Diamond the so called smell good plumber, owner of Sandpiper Pet Hotel and Mike Diamond Services, seems to give you extra special treatment. He allows you to live in the house on the Sandpiper property while Patti, the manager, lives an hour away. You can easily go home for any meal breaks or to shower if you get dirty on the job. Patti on the other hand does not have this privilege or luxury. She has to stay in Malibu often times for a 14 or more hour workday.

Since you live on the Sandpiper property you could easily walk the few steps home and spend Christmas with your family while still working that day! You do take extended meal breaks and go home several times throughout the day as it is! Your dinner break is at least 2.5 to 3 hours.

Patti is the manager, but you do not seem to respect this nor do you seem to be required to. It seems as if you answer only to Mike Diamond. When Patti asks you to work a Holiday and you say no….. Mike Diamond backs you up and Patti ends up working.

Just this last Thanksgiving you were on the schedule to work far enough in advance to know. Yet at the last minute you refused to work Thanksgiving and Mike Diamond supported you on this! Patti had to work the entire day and missed out on another Thanksgiving with her family!

For some reason you seem to be Mike Diamond’s special boy! His personal pet! What is the connection between the two of you? Do you have something on him?IS there something else? It is a very interesting situation! You do seem to get away with anything and everything while others are fired for reporting things you have done to Mike Diamond!

(Yes, Patti’s boyfriend worked at Sandpiper Pet Hotel for a few years. He reported some things to Mike Diamond and then Mike Diamond made Patti fire her own boyfriend while the lesser worker kept his job!)

The dogs boarding at Sandpiper need to be cared for every day which means people need to work at Sandpiper on Holidays. But, as stated before, somehow you seem to get away with not working Holidays and Patti gets stuck working them. It has been this way for years and it is quite unfair!

Ignacio, I hope you can be thoughtful of someone else and that you will work on Christmas this year so Patti can spend at least one Holiday with her family!

You seem to think you are a macho man, but why don’t you be a gentleman and respect females?

Show your two young boys that you can actually treat a female with respect and not just as a slave!

Oh, stop leering at the female clients. It does make them uncomfortable!

Ignacio, Patti does far more than you or anyone at Sandpiper. She does things you and the others do not not know how or do not even want to do. But that is probably a good thing. It requires certain skills and linguistics to be able to do all the paperwork. She does all the paperwork. She handles problems that may be caused by other workers. She does the billing, payroll, end of day, end of month and any other reports that need to be done. Patti deals with Animal Control when they show up for inspections.

it is not good to treat women with disrespect!
It is not good to go against the feeding and medication instructions of dogs.
It is not good to take advantage of others just because you have a special relationship with Mike Diamond.
It is not good to be lazy and expect others to do your work.

It is good to be able to read and write important things and spell properly.
It is important to know the names of dogs boarding at Sandpiper!
It is good to follow feeding and medical requests of pet owners who entrust their precious dogs into your, um, care!
It is important to be able to read labels on medicine bottles and understand instructions to administer the medications!

This is addressed to everyone! Mike Diamond, are you reading this?

Sandpiper clients love Patti! They know she is the one that really cares about their dogs!

Patti does more tasks and has far more responsibilities than anyone at Sandpiper. She is known to go far beyond the duties, yet she gets treated very badly by coworkers and the owner! But Patti is the reason so many of the clients still board their dogs at Sandpiper!

There seems to be sexism and misogyny at Sandpiper. Patti has been referred to as “the little girl” and “she’s just a girl” has been overheard. It seems as if some men involved at Sandpiper think she is not capable of doing certain tasks. But I assure you, Patti is quite capable and she can do a much better and more thorough job of things than the men of Sandpiper!

Patti actually cares about the dogs that board at Sandpiper. They are not just money making objects such as others seem to think! Patti does not have the cram in as many dogs as you can to make money attitude! Patti cares about the individual needs of each and every dog! She has done more good for Sandpiper and the dogs that board there than anyone else, yet she seems to get no respect from Mike Diamond or Ignacio. I guess to Mike Diamond it is just a business for making money and to Ignacio they are just dogs and a free ride!

The Sandpiper Pet Hotel was in very bad disrepair and had many problems including safety issues. These problems had been reported to Mike Diamnond on several occasions over several years and nothing was done about them..... until LA County Animal Care and Control came in and forced Mike Diamond to make repairs and deal with the safety issues!

I do hope people read this and understand everything that is being said!

I also hope that Patti has a wonderful Christmas with her family this year!
