THE LITTLE COUPLE...on TLC..

Sometimes the ”biggest” people aren’t actually big in stature......and often the biggest in stature can be ”less than big” in character.

.....I don’t watch a lot of “shows” on TV..…very few….I watch “The Profit”, which is a reality show…and I occasionally watch “The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan”. But, my favorite show is ”The Little Couple” on TLC.

It is a show that started out documenting the lives of a married dwarf couple in Houston. She is a doctor and he is an owner of a pet shop in Houston. As the show has progressed through several seasons the couple (the Klein’s) have gone to China, and then India, to adopt their two children. The show chronicles their lives (un-Kardashian) and how they cope with their day to day events and challenges.

The show is very refreshing largely because Bill and Jenn (the Kleins) are such amazing people. You can’t help but love them almost instantly. Bill has a great personality, funny, caring, and always solving problems in the most disarming way. They never complain. They are amazing parents! They are totally “live in the moment”. They exemplify this about as well as anyone I have seen. If they go for a walk with their two young kids (who also are dwarfs) then that is what they do…they live that experience to the fullest….if they are cooking breakfast…then they are totally invested and immersed in that activity….

Jenn just recovered from cancer last season and she is delightful and inspiring. Yesterday I called the pet shop they own “Rocky and Maggie’s” and asked the manager if Bill is just as amazing in real life as he is on the show….she said, “absolutely”.

These people are genuine. I think (any) woman would want to be married to Bill… the fact that he is a “little person” would be irrelevant once they realized what a great husband he is….he is a role model for all husbands…and fathers..

Real people!…far from “little” people. So inspiring…..
