Lobster Caught off Canada with Pepsi Logo ‘Tattooed’ on Its Claw
A satirical look at current events!

Lobster Caught off Canada with Pepsi Logo ‘Tattooed’ on Its Claw: Concerns over debris littering the world’s oceans are back in the spotlight after a Canadian fishing crew found a lobster with the blue and red Pepsi logo imprinted like a tattoo on its claw in the waters off Grand Manan, New Brunswick
Good grief, what’s next - wild game with Winchester logos on their fur? Of course, some are wondering if this is may be fake news, or if “it’s the real thing.” No, it can’t be “the real thing” - because its Pepsi - not Coke! That said, AdAge is calling this one of the most amazing examples of product placement they’ve seen in ages. OK, but geez - can’t we go anywhere these days - including the bottom of the ocean floor, without being accosted by product advertising? It’s getting to the point where one night we’ll be driving home, look up in the sky and discover that Amazon has figured out a way to project its ads all over the moon’s surface.
And while I’m obviously no marine behaviorist, this really sounds a lot to me like PepsiCo may have decided to bring back the old “Pepsi Challenge” - and this lobster went for it “hook, line and sinker.” And sure, I realize that everyone is getting tattoos these days, but come on - lobsters too? Apparently they are - as National Geographic just ran an article pointing out that “Pepsi tattoos” are “all the rage” in the crustacean community this year. Perhaps, but just wait till this lobster gets home and his mother sees that Pepsi tattoo - you can bet somebody’s gonna end up in hot water!
