Major Road To Close For Wildlife Crossing Construction This Week

The road will be closed for much of the day as construction continues on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — Agoura Road will be fully closed this week as construction continues on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing.

The road will be closed between Rondell Street and Hydepark Drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to Caltrans.

The closure will allow crews to place concrete as part of construction of the crossing, according to Caltrans.

Agoura Road will only be closed on Wednesday, not Thursday, which officials previously suggested as a possibility.

No motorists, cyclists or pedestrians will be permitted to access the closed portion of Agoura Road during the closure.

Officials suggested that drivers use the 101 Freeway between Chesebro Road and Liberty Canyon Road as a detour.

A free shuttle service will operate every 30 minutes from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday eastbound and westbound between the intersection of Dorothy Drive and Chesebro Road and the intersection of Liberty Canyon Road and Agoura Road.
