The pool was closed for "unforeseen SMMUSD maintenance issues, according to the city of Malibu. The pool will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with programs running throughout the day. Pool use is drop in only and lanes are issued on a first-come-first-served basis. A visit costs $2 for children ages 5-17, $3 for adults 18-54 and free for people ages 55 and over. The pool will close again on Jan. 16 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
