Malibu Continues Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing
The City of Malibu, CORE, and Malibu Medical will offer testing Thursday and Friday to all local residents, regardless of symptoms.
MALIBU — The City of Malibu, Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) and Malibu Medical Group will continue drive-through coronavirus testing for community members of Greater Malibu on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1 from 10 to 4 at Malibu City Hall. Please be in line by 3 p.m.
Testing is available to residents of Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Topanga, Calabasas, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, and Thousand Oaks, and more. Residents do not need to display symptoms in order to receive a test. To find out if you’re eligible, pre-register at https://www.malibumedicalgroup.com/contents/covid-19. Registration is required, but anyone without online access can be registered on-site.
When drive-through testing began earlier this month in Malibu, symptoms were required to receive a test. However, the results of the nearly 3,000 tests completed at City Hall have shown that most positive cases are asymptomatic. Widespread testing is therefore necessary to slow the spread of COVID-19.

All health insurance plans will cover 100% of the test. A $60 donation to CORE is requested for the uninsured, but no one will be turned away because they cannot pay. If you would like to support testing for those without health insurance, you can make a donation at https://www.coreresponse.org.
