Valuable information and resources for individuals, families, workers, and employees directly impacted by COVID-19, including financial relief, mental health assistance, and personal services available for the most vulnerable in our community.

FOOD, MEALS, AND ESSENTIAL SERVICES

• Boys and Girls Club of Malibu (BGCM) and Waveside Church offer FREE delivery of food and essential services to seniors and most vulnerable families. Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Call 310-457-2582, email emergencyrelief@bgcmalibu.org or visit www.BGCMalibu.org.
• Malibu Foundation and Mighty Underdogs (MUD) are will run errands and provide free delivery to seniors and those most vulnerable. More info and registration at www.TheMalibuFoundation.org/cv19
• Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) is providing free breakfast and lunch for students through April 3 at Webster School. Drive-thru pickup available weekdays from 7:00-9:00 AM. Available to students under 18, with an adult or guardian, or high school students that drive themselves.
• Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) has 60 Grab ‘n Go Food Centers across LA providing free, nutritious meals for students. Open weekdays from 7:00-10:00 AM. Details, including food center locations at https://achieve.lausd.net/resources.

• Laid off or hours reduced? You may be eligible for Unemployment Insurance through the State of CA Employment Development Department (EDD) at www.EDD.ca.gov/Unemployment
• LA County Rapid Response services are available for businesses and their workers who are impacted by layoffs. Connect with benefits, unemployment insurance and other services by email to Bizdev@wdacs.lacounty.gov.
• Unable to work because you have or were exposed to COVID-19? You may be eligible for State Disability benefits through EDD. EDD.ca.gov/Disability
• Need time off to care for children or family members impacted by COVID-19 or County or State orders to remain at home? You may be eligible for Paid Family Leave (PFL) through EDD. EDD.ca.gov/Disability/Paid_Family_Leave.htm

SBA ANNOUNCES AUTOMATIC LOAN DEFERMENTS FROM PREVIOUS DISASTERS

On March 23, US Small Business Administration (SBA) Director Jovita Carranza announced changes to help borrowers still paying back SBA loans from previous disasters. By making this change, deferments through December 31, 2020, will be automatic. Now, borrowers of home and business disaster loans do not have to contact SBA to request deferment.Learn more at www.SBA.gov

FINANCIAL RELIEF & SUPPORT

• The US Small Business Administration (SBA) offers low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital. For more information or to apply online, visit www.DisasterLoan.SBA.gov/ELA, call the SBA Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 or email DisasterCustomerService@SBA.gov.

• The County of Los Angeles enacted an emergency moratorium on residential and commercial evictions through March 31. Tenants will have until November 2020 to pay for any rent owed.
