Malibu High Boys Hoops Teams Conclude Season with Banquet
More than 80 percent of the players on the three teams had a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the first semester.
Players, parents and coaches from the Malibu High School boys basketball teams enjoyed the end-of-season banquet Sunday at . Attendees enjoyed the food and the program directed by varsity head coach Bobby Tenorio.
More than 80 percent of the 31 players on the school’s varsity, junior varsity and freshman/sophomore teams earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the first semester.
Four varsity players named to the All-Academic First Team for the Ventura County Basketball Coaches Association as well as the All-Frontier League Academic Team. Junior Jack Platner and freshman Justin Holmes were chosen for the All-Frontier League First Team. Junior Kyle Sandler earned a spot on the All-Frontier League Second Team. All-Frontier League honorable mentions included junior Harrison Kaplan and sophomore Will Rosenthal.

All five starters from this season’s varsity team will return next year, so the boys are already working hard to win the league title.
