Malibu High Equestrian Takes Fourth Place

Malibu High School did particularly well in Dressage with Kelsey Holmes winning the Year-End Championship for Junior Varsity Dressage.

The Malibu High School Equestrian Team finished their best season ever this last week finishing up in fourth place overall for the season out of over 65 schools in Los Angeles and Ventura County. 

The Novice Division Riders brought home the Reserve Championship Ribbon and Silver Plate for their second place finish in the Novice Division. The Team competes in the Interscholastic Equestrian League.

did particularly well in Dressage with Kelsey Holmes winning the Year-End Championship for Junior Varsity Dressage, and Renie Walczuk and Edie Denker finishing second and third in Novice Dressage.

Bridget Helm finished in fourth place for the Varsity Jumpers. Abby Blackwood tied for third place in Novice Equitation, and finished up third overall in the Novice Division out of 85 riders.   

Team Captain and Senior, Emma Blackwood, won the Interscholastic Equestrian League Academic Excellence Scholarship for her outstanding academic achievement.
