The event will include free classes to help enhance the community's public safety and disaster preparedness.

MALIBU, CA – Malibu's first Safety and Preparedness Expo will be this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The expo, meant to help enhance the community’s public safety and disaster preparedness, will be held by the City of Malibu and the Malibu Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

The event will feature classes, emergency supplies, and local first responders available to talk to. Plus, companies, government agencies and volunteer groups will have information and demonstration booths and emergency preparedness supplies for sale.

"This fun, free event is a great opportunity to teach kids about emergency preparedness, and an easy way for families to get started on making their emergency plans," the press release said.
