Malibu Marijuana Dispensary Hosts Beach Clean Up This Sunday

The beach clean up will feature DJ's, promotions, and medicated massages from sponsors.

MALIBU, CA — Malibu's only marijuana dispensary, 99 High Tide, is hosting a beach clean up and after party from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. this Sunday. The beach clean up will start on Surfrider Beach at 23050 Pacific Coast Highway, followed by an in-store after party.

99 High Tide's beach clean ups started when employees would pick up trash on the beach before work or during their lunch breaks. Now on their eleventh beach clean up with the community, this particular event is extra special: Leafly, currently on a "highway tour" around California to celebrate the end of cannabis prohibition, is providing cold-pressed juices and their reggae disc jockey Yaacore who will perform on the beach, according to 99 High Tide's General Manager Vanessa Rodriguez.

"The industry can produce a lot of waste, so we’ve done what we can as a business to choose eco-friendly business practices," Rodriguez said. "The beach clean ups are a really fun way to connect with our community and showcase our eco-friendly beliefs."
