The Malibu City Council will hold a virtual public hearing to consider a Short-Term Rental Ordinance (hosted ordinance) during the Adjourned Virtual Meeting on Thursday, November 5, at 6:30 PM. The agenda, staff report and viewing instructions are posted on the website.
On July 29, 2020, the Planning Commission considered an amendment to the Local Coastal Program and Malibu Municipal Code regulating the rental of residential units for 30 days or less (short-term rentals) similar to those implemented in the City of Santa Monica including requiring the presence of an onsite host and other provisions.
