Malibu School Day Postponed By Fatal Traffic Collision
A fatal collision caused slowdowns on Pacific Coast Highway Thursday morning, so Malibu Middle and High schools started at 10:30 a.m.

MALIBU, CA — Malibu Middle and High School will start at 10:30 a.m. Thursday because a traffic collision caused slowdowns on State Route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway), according to the City of Malibu.
The fatal accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. at Busch Drive. A woman was fatally struck by a truck and died on the scene. Identifying information about the woman is not yet available.
Though all lanes were initially shut down, westbound lanes reopened around 9:06 a.m. with eastbound lanes open at 1 p.m., according to the city.
