On Saturday, learn about how the city exclusively uses native plants for landscaping as part of earth-friendly land-management practices.
MALIBU, CA — Thank you pollinators! As part of a celebration of Earth Day, city Recreation Supervisor Chris Orosz is leading an informative walk around Legacy Park Saturday morning.
The walk will explore the native plant pallet of the Santa Monica Mountains region. Orosz will explain how the Community Services Department exclusively uses native plants for landscaping as part of earth-friendly management of city-owned land.
The walk meets at the Malibu Library at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. Participants will receive a packet of narrow-leaf milkweed seeds for their home landscapes.
